We’ve got Dave Cam back on his iRacing rig for another track guide on the Traxion.GG YouTube channel. For 2022 iRacing Season 2, Dave will be utilizing the Touring Cars that will be used in the Touring Car Turn Racing Challenge official series. That series hosts the Audi RS 3 LMS, Hyundai Elantra N TC, Honda Civic Type R and the new Hyundai Veloster N TC.
Once again, Dave has jumped into the virtual Elantra and the track on the schedule is Watkins Glen International. The layout this week includes both the inner loop and the boot. Watkins Glen’s boot layout measures in at 3.45-miles or 5.55-kilometers and ignoring the four turns in the inner loop, there are 11 corners. Yeah, for some reason, the four turns in the inner loop are no longer classified as such.
Dave says this combination is one of the best on iRacing. Honestly Dave, Watkins Glen is a good track for just about any type of racing. It’s such a versatile and fun venue. As always, it’s the slow and methodical approach in play. Dave knows where you can go wide, where you need to slow down, and how to get around the Upstate New York circuit.
