But… also, his video showcased some new cars not yet seen in the upcoming sim racing platform. Here’s what we spotted.
Of the new-to-Assetto Corsa EVO cars in the trailer, the Lancia Delta is fault obvious within the first five seconds as a yellow example of an ‘Evoluzione’ (spotted with its blistered wheel arches) drives by.
The Abarth 595 hot hatch is seen several times, as a grey example explores the environment – it looks to be a post-2016 facelift model, where it went from being known as an Abarth 500 to the ‘595’.
This car is pivotal to the Assetto Corsa franchise, being an entry-level model in the original game.
In one scene where the presenter Charoudin discusses traffic at the ‘Ring, we can clearly see the current Toyota GR86 (red) two-door sportscar.
Next, at the infamous Brünnchen area, an Audi RS 3 (in a green colour usually reserved for the RS 3 only, as opposed to the S3) is being chased by what appears to be a G87-generation BWM M2 coupe.
Then we move to the Ventisette restaurant car park. Parked up outside is a first-generation Mazda MX-5 (Roadster/Miata NA) next to a Series 3 Lotus Exige – like the Abarth, both in the first Assetto Corsa simulation.
Cutting to another shot at the same venue, there is a sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then a second glimpse of the current generation Audi RS 3.
This red version reveals its Sportback body style and also a different spec of wheels to the green example.
