It’s time for a new season on iRacing, and with that comes a new series of track guides from Dave Cam. For 2022 iRacing Season 2, Dave will be utilzing the Touring Cars that will be used in the Touring Car Turn Racing Challenge official series. That series hosts the Audi RS 3 LMS, Hyundai Elantra N TC, Honda Civic Type R and the new Hyundai Veloster N TC.
Dave is hopping into the Elantra this week at the brand-new (to iRacing) Winton Motor Raceway. The Club Circuit of the track is 10 turns and 1.26-miles (2.02-kilometers) in length. As opposed to the National Circuit, the Club takes out the final few corners and the front straightaway, forcing a different line on a different straightaway to become the new start/finish line.
It’s somewhat of a new challenge for Dave, and he says it’s a tricky combination at that. Risk versus reward is the name of the game, where the kerbs are in play for a faster time, but the chances of throwing away a race are much greater.
Thankfully, we’re all about the slow and methodical approach today. Corner entry, braking markers, pit entrance and exit, overtaking tips, and everything else you need to know about this track are all included in today’s video. Class is back in session!
If you’re interested in running this series, the full season schedule is listed below. If this is your first time here, be sure to check out all of Dave’s other work on the Traxion.GG platforms. Stay tuned later in the week for Dave’s first Pick N’ Mix challenge. As always, keep it pinned.
