2022 iRacing Season 1 Global Mazda MX-5 Fanatec Cup – Week 1 at Tsukuba Track Guide | Dave Cam

It’s a brand new sim racing season on iRacing as of Tuesday. iRacing 2022 Season 1 is officially here. Last season, we had Dave Cam on the new Ferrari. This season, Dave’s shifting focus to guide us through one of the most popular series on the entire platform, the Global Mazda MX-5 Fanatec Cup.

Utilizing the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup car, Dave heads over to the first track on the season schedule at the Tsukuba Circuit. The car is one of the few cars enabled with the New Damage Model, but Dave says with the way these things drive, you might need to get your elbows out.

The Tsukuba 2000 Full layout has 12 corners and measures 2.045-kilometers, or 1.271-miles in length. Dave has all of the tips, tricks, braking zones, reference points, and track limit information you’ll need to master the Mazda at this venue. This is, once again, not a place for hot laps. This is Dave’s patent-pending slow and methodical approach. It’s where you learn how to be consistent before you learn to set records. You can’t run before you walk.

Now, if this is your first time here, Dave has a whole collection of various track guides on the Traxion site. Check those out as you might find them useful for other various cars on other various road courses. Leave a like for more Dave Cam, hit the subscribe button for more Dave Cam, and you know what? Ring the bell to get notified for even more Dave Cam, as well as all of the other content here on the Traxion.GG channel.
