Your Hot Wheels Unleashed livery could be turned into a diecast model

Following the launch of Hot Wheels Unleashed and the inclusion of a livery editor, there’s now a competition with the best design being made into a diecast model.

The Livery Editor within the model-car arcade racing game allows you to apply different colours and shapes onto the non-film/tv licenced models and then share them with the world online.

Now, though, the Hot Wheels Unleashed Design Battle will see creations duke it out for supremacy.

To take part, visit the in-game ‘Editor’ menu and you will see a new ‘Design Battle’ option. Here, you can create a paint scheme for the Rodger Dodger vehicle.

There are some rules, namely keeping to four colours for each section of the car (right side, left side and top). With the top divided into three different parts (hood, roof, and trunk), any colour added to each of these three areas will be counted as an additional colour.

Once you have created your theme within this Design Battle area, sharing it will automatically enter you into the competition that is open to all on PC, PlayStation and Xbox – but not Nintendo Switch.

The contest is open from today (14 January 2022 ) until 11:59 pm CET on 14th February 2022, with a winner selected by the 28th February 2022.

The lucky design, chosen by Milestone and Mattel based upon artistic merit, will then be made part of the 2022 Hot Wheel die-cast model range and will be available to purchase globally.

Think of this as a unique form of esports, where on-track prowess is replaced by creative flair – it’s time to channel your inner Andy Warhol.
