Charming puzzle driving game You Suck at Parking has a formal release date and it’s 14th September 2022.
Developed by Belgian team Happy Volcano, the game sees you driving from a top-down perspective, racing against the clock in an ever-ludicrous series of challenges, trying to park in a spot as quickly as possible. The aim is to try and work your way up the online leaderboards and unlock tokens.
Back in March of last year, the team published a demo via Steam and at the time we said:
“The crazy levels test your patience, as well as being ideal for making fun memes and technically impressive, synchronised ballets.”
Since then, the title was pushed back to 2022, before an online multiplayer mode was introduced. It was picked up by Microsoft to be part of its Game Pass subscription service. It will be included for both Xbox console and Xbox PC subscribers at launch, but is still available to purchase outright on Steam.
At launch, there will be 60 multiplayer challenges and 100 single-player levels plus unlockable customisation items. Over time, further cars, biomes, tracks, and design options will be added.
The existing Steam demo has been updated as of today (31st August) to be a truer reflection of the final release.
“It’s great to be able to publicly pin down a launch date for You Suck at Parking after all the excitement we’ve seen from gamers over the last few months,” said David Prinsmel, Game Director.
