WATCH: What we want to see in Forza Horizon 5

The highly acclaimed Forza Horizon 4 continues to keep many of us occupied even though historically, in normal circumstances, developer Playground Games would have already released a new game for us all to enjoy by their previous release schedule.

The current installment in the series has tens of millions of players invested in the part arcade, part sim style racer with continuous content updates still flowing from the source to keep racers invested, but Grand Theft Auto V-type longevity hasn’t been Forza’s style, and it’s only a matter of time before we get our hands on a new Forza Horizon title.

Rumors continue to circulate about a possible announcement of Forza Horizon 5 at this year’s E3 conference. Last year’s conference was cancelled outright due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the latest Forza Motorsport was still announced by Microsoft around that time. Sadly, just because it’s expected doesn’t mean it’s happening, but we’d like to think the rumors are true, and the timing makes perfect sense as well.

While we continue to wait for more Forza details to drop on either the Motorsport or Horizon front, our Justin Sutton started thinking about a wish list for the future Horizon-titled game. Things as simple as updating or adding customization to the in-game soundtrack, to as complicated as how to fix overaggressive driving online, we’ve got a list of things that we hope is considered for the next installment of the franchise.

We’ll talk about that and more, in more detail, in our latest video regarding a possible Forza Horizon 5.
