WATCH: Nürburgring Le Mans Virtual Series Qualifying and Cup Race 3, Live

The third round of the Le Mans Virtual Series stretches its legs with the 8 Hours of Nürburgring, and you can watch the qualifying live on Traxion.GG, Friday 12th November at 6 pm BST / 7 pm CET. It will be followed in the same broadcast by Round 3 of the Le Mans Virtual Cup, with the top-30 qualifiers from the rFactor 2 competition system taking part.

The 154 corners of the Nordschleife await 21 LMP and 17 GTE cars, all viewing for track position and trying to set a clean lap in what could be changeable conditions. The qualifying session will last 40 minutes, and it’s expected that the LMP cars lap in the mid-seven minutes, provided they find a clear lap.

The championship is still very much in the balance, with two different winners in both classes so far this season.

The entry list for the 8 Hours of Nürburgring includes Red Bull protégé and 2021 DTM runner-up Liam Lawson, Mercedes-AMG GT expert Raffaele Marciel, Williams F1 reserve driver Jack Aitken, McLaren F1 test and development driver Will Stevens and Formula 2 competitor Bent Viscaal.

All will line up alongside the very best professional esports talent that includes Mitchell deJong, Kevin Siggy, Joshua Rogers, Erhan Jajovski, Jeffrey Rietveld and Risto Kappet. Speaking of which, you can view the R8G Esports driver’s track guide in the LMP car below.

Alongside the GTE and LMP qualifying will be the live Le Mans Virtual Cup race, which utilises the rFactor 2 in-platform competition system. Anyone can take part in the time trial on the run-up to the event, with the top split being broadcast live as it happens.

Each entrant uses identical LMP3 machinery in the 45-minute race, so this will be the ideal opportunity to see how the high-downforce machines handle the bumpy venue. The top two in the overall standings by the end of the season qualify for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual in January.

Will Brünnchen catch out the unwary like a Touristenfahrten YouTube compilation? Watch the broadcast to find out, as the top professional racing esports crews compete around the Nordschleife. All of the action will be live on the Traxion.GG YouTubeFacebook and Twitch channels.
