Vote now for the Autosport Esports Driver of the Year

The Autosport Awards are coming soon, 19th December 2021, and you can have a say in who wins the prestigious Esports Driver of the Year award.

The event was established in 1982, and drivers such as Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have all visited in person for the International Racing Driver Award.

Last year, 2020, was the inaugural crowning of the Esports Driver of the Year, won by Porsche Tag Heuer Esports Supercup champion and current F1 Esports Series Pro driver Sebastian Job.

This year, a panel of experts whittled down the very best professional esports drivers into a final four, and you have the opportunity right here on Traxion.GG to vote for who you think deserves this title. The winner will be the driver with the most votes amassed across Traxion.GG and Autosport subscribers.

To register your vote, simply select you who think is worthy of the crown below, but before you do, have a read of each driver’s recent achievements.

Josh Rogers

Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Joshua Rogers (AUS), #92, Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, 2021

After missing out on iRacing’s PESC title in 2020 to last year’s Esports Driver of the Year Job, Rogers hit back with a vengeance in 2021 by becoming champion for the second time and banking $50,000 in the process.

Such was the domination of the Coanda Simsport driver that he was almost 200 points clear of his nearest rival, wrapping up the championship well before the end of the season. As part of the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual GTE-class winning entry, Josh has also returned to rFactor 2 endurance racing and is putting together a strong title challenge in the LMVS #92 Porsche.

How sim champion Frede Rasmussen adapted to real-life Formula E

The Red Bull Racing Esports driver narrowly missed out on the F1 Esports Series Pro drivers’ title in 2020 but immediately bounced back early in 2021. The Dane took an incredible victory in the rFactor 2 Formula E: Accelerate championship which earned him €20,000 and a drive in a real-world Gen.2 car.

Again proving his flexibility, his performances this year so far in F1 Esports appears to herald another title challenge in the making.

The 22-year-old Slovenian continued his incredible performances in top esports series in 2021. Despite losing his Formula E crown, the Team Redline driver has proven himself to be an endurance master in the Le Mans Virtual Series.

Siggy’s superb single-lap pace has earned the #71 BMW M8 GTE a pair of pole positions and then masterful fuel-saving strategy at Spa earned his team a key victory. Siggy and his team are in incredible form as the season continues as they occupy joint first-place in the championship.

All this is alongside an overall podium finish in Formula Pro Series, a race win in ADAC GT Masters Esports and strong performances in GT Pro Series and the SRO GT World Challenge Europe Sprint championship.
