WATCH: Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID, Episode 17

It’s the start of the Global Series championships in this week’s episode of John Munro’s Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID series. Last week was easy-breezy, as John was able to sweep the LMP2 title. Later on, he pulled out a dramatic victory over Ravenwest in the Prototype classics.

Moving on up to the GRID World Global Series should be a piece of cake, right? Well, as John finds out in today’s episode, nothing is given at this stage in the game. With Lee Niven on his way out of the Rick Racing stable, John figures it’s worth one last hurrah with Lee and his specialty, Touring Cars.

The Touring Cars Bridgestone Challenge is a five-race championship series that is required to be won to beat the game. Detroit, Washington, the Nürburgring, Istanbul Park and Milan are the five venues on tap. Rick Racing has invested in a pair of BMW 320SI Touring Cars for the season. It’s up to John and Lee to put them at the top of the boards.

Like we said, however, nothing is granted. This title might be John’s greatest challenge yet. To make matters worse, Lee might not be too keen on the news that he’s being let go. There will be contact, tempers, and a tight title battle towards the end. Can John overcome the adversity?

Be sure to tune in to the first 16 episodes of John’s Let’s Play series to catch up on how we’ve gotten to this point. Also, leave a like and hit subscribe if you’re enjoying the series so far. Ring the bell for future notifications, and as always, keep it pinned!
