WATCH: Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID, Episode 13

Changes are coming to Rick Racing in today’s episode of John Munro’s Let’s Play Race Driver: GRID series. While there were plenty of gifts throughout this episode from John’s rivals constantly wrecking out of his way, the greatest gift comes in the form of a new teammate.

It’s been no secret that Gianni Fazio, Rick Racing’s second driver since the team expanded, has had an up and down career so far. There have been times where he’s been impeccable, squeaking out victories over John or holding the team down in the points. Other times, more than often, he’s been a detriment. Gianni’s had more races bringing in no money for the team while often making the difference in each team championship.

Back in America this week, John and Gianni head to Long Beach for the Dallara F3 Championship. While John is able to succeed in the open wheel setting, Gianni struggles to find his footing. Rick Racing comes away with the title, but John is forced to make a tough call regarding the second seat. With the fifth season concluded, the team opts to skip Le Mans this year. Rick Racing has to prepare to bring in a new driver to start off Season 6 right.

Enter Lee Niven. John has hired the pro driver from England to be his running mate moving forward, and Carmen seems to agree. The new pairing at Rick Racing will have brand new Pagani Zonda Rs to kick off the sixth season of John’s GRID World. How will their first outing go in the US Supercar Challenge? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out!
