The fourth round of the Le Mans Virtual Series approaches this weekend, and we’re set for another thrilling round of Le Mans Virtual Series, broadcast live right here on Traxion.GG.
This Friday 17th December at 1800 GMT / 1900 CET, the teams and drivers face the bumpy and technical Sebring International Raceway – duking it out in a 40-minute qualifying session for the GTE and LMP classes.
Over 500 race miles of intense wheel-to-wheel action, drivers face stiff competition from real-life professional pilots and esports aliens alike, such as James Baldwin, Agustín Canapino and Alex Buncombe.
In addition to the Le Mans Virtual Series qualifying from Sebring, afterwrads Traxion.GG will also be live broadcasting the top split’s final race in the Le Mans Virtual Cup. The LMP3-only series concludes at the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe – more commonly known as Le Mans – with the top two in the championship qualifying for the big one – the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual, emulating the likes of Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.
With the grid decided by championship positions up to this point, it’s the top two in this final race that progress to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual. After all, three into two doesn’t go!
Uniquely, the Le Mans Virtual Cup was open to anyone with a copy of rFactor 2, and the four-race series has proven to be hugely popular with sim racers across the globe.
Watch the crucial final race after Sebring qualifying this Friday, as the Cup drivers aim to join their heroes on the LMVS grid on 15th/16th January next year.
To get you in the mood and provide a driver’s perspective of steering an LMP car around Sebring, have a look at Dennis Zetak practising in the #44 ARC Bratislava entry.
Check out all the action on the Traxion.GG YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels.
