WATCH: Is the Valkyrie quicker than a Hypercar?

With Gran Turismo 7 adding in the Aston Martin Valkyrie road car in their latest update, we wanted to know just how fast it is.

In this week’s Gran Turismo 7 update, Polyphony Digital added one Aston Martin Valkyrie to the roster of cars, alongside two Rally classics in the Subaru Impreza WRX STI ‘04 and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR.

The outlier is the Valkyrie, and that thing is absolutely stacked with an impressive set of components and features, that of which includes a 6.5 litre V12 engine with 1140bhp, a 141bhp-producing electric motor, and 1100kg of downforce. By the way, this car is street-legal, in case you were wondering.

This road car is fast, but just how fast? Well, we’re going to take it to Circuit de la Sarthe to run a lap around Le Mans against another Hypercar, that being the Toyota GR010.

The Toyota GR010 Hypercar, a winning entity at Le Mans in a past iteration, offers up 3.5 litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 671bhp, and it comes with a hybrid regeneration system that brings an additional 268bhp to the table for a whopping 939bhp combined. This machine was made for racing.

See how the two cars compare in a lap around Le Mans. Which one do you think will have the quicker lap time, the race car built for speed or the over-the-top road car? Place your guesses in the comments below!
