We go hands on with the latest online ranked multiplayer system within sim racing – rFactor 2 Online.
WATCH - How good is rFactor 2 Online, the new online system

For the first time ever, and replacing the aged Competition System, rFactor 2 has a legitimate ranking system, with several tiers within beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

The aim is straightforward – race well, race clean, improve your ranking and your safety level.

The result is cleaner, more competitive, racing without requiring a third-party app or service. It’s just there, within the platform, a few menu clicks away with a clear progression score post-race.

That’s the theory, anyway, we’re here to see if it does what it says on the tin, bearing in mind that it’s only in the opt-in release candidate and even then, as a beta.

We run through how to access it, explain how it works and then take it for a spin via some of the daily races – these are on a rota, alongside an upcoming special event and the ability to host your own servers.

We’ll see how it evolved over time, so keep your eyes on the Traxion.GG website for the latest updates.
