Today marks the release date of the much-anticipated blend of the two sports into one. Yes, Turbo Golf Racing is finally here and we’re all fore it.
The concept of the game is quite simple: up to eight players will compete online across multiple platforms and must race through a plethora of golf courses – around 30 levels total – all while attempting to tee their ball into the finish-line hole. There’s a variety of cars and balls to choose from, including a fancy disco ball. How groovy!
Despite being compared to Rocket League, Turbo Golf Racing is so much more than driving a ball into a net, or hole in this case. The courses feature jumps and boost pads, and even the opportunity to shoot a rocket at your opponents to temporarily halt their movement.
Game developer Hugecalf Studios, alongside publisher Secret Mode, has announced that the title is available today as of 3 pm BST / 4 pm CEST to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One users via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview and will cost £14.99 / €17.99 / $17.99.
Anyone with Xbox/PC Game Pass will be able to download Turbo Golf Racing at no extra charge.
Hugecalf Studios, which is fairly new to the gaming industry, expects the Early Access and Game Preview duration to last around 12 months, all the while providing users with updated content and features, and fixes to the overall balance, too.
Players will receive new levels, cars, cosmetics, and Power Cores as the months progress, with the first update anticipated for the end of August. Don’t worry – it’s a freebie. Ace!
