Over the past decade, there has been a surge in popularity of approachable competitive video games – think Fall Guys and Rocket League – and Tray Racers! could be next on that list.
Straight up, there are no cars or motorcycles in this game, however, you are racing and therefore this could be an easy point of entry into the racing scene.
No, instead, you’re using, well, a tray, to fly down the post-apocalyptic levels, either solo or the main draw, online against rivals.
The levels are procedurally generated and there can be up 16 players, so each race should be a vivid closely-matched blast.
Pitched at ‘games of all ages’, rather amusingly, the Bit Loom-developed title will indeed also feature ray tracing graphical effects on the PC release. Happy April’s Fool, folks!
We’re always asked ‘Does Tray Racers have Ray Tracing?’
Happy to announce it will when the game launches on April 13th!
The most ultimate, high quality, shiny graphics in all of gaming 💎
Tracks include cute critters, bouncy cactus forests (ideal to use mid-ariel trick) and mostly dunes, which reminds us of ThatGameCompany’s Journey, only more colourful and at high speed.
A free-to-play title, it releases 13th April 2023 for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
