Trak Racer enters haptic bass shaker market

The BSA200-Kit is the company’s first attempt at a sensory sim racing product.

Trak Racer enters haptic bass shaker market

Trak Racer has long had a range of sim racing cockpits, seats and mounts (plus flight sim equipment), but recently it has been dipping its toes into electronics.

Early prototypes of items such as a bass shaker and steering wheels were first shown by the Australian outfit at the ADAC SimRacing Expo in 2022. Then, more advanced versions were driveable at this year’s Sim Formula Europe event, including direct drive wheel bases.

Since then, its won gaming monitors and headsets have come to market and now it is the turn of the low-frequency vibration system – designed to provide an extra layer of feedback, such as riding over circuit kerbs or the thrum of an engine.

Or, if you also play shooting titles, for example, an enhanced portrayal of gunfire or approaching enemies.

The BSA200-Kit includes a 200W tactile transducer amplifier and a 100W haptic bass shaker. The system has been designed for straightforward rig mounting and includes a remote control. A second bass shaker can be plumbed in as an optional extra.

It can all be controlled by the Trak Racer Device Manager – new PC software which over time will also be used to set up a range of wheel bases, handbrakes and shifters.

The amp and one shaker set is available now (pending a re-stock) for £249/€269

AQ universal shaker mount is £65/€65, an addition shaker £69/€79
