The last Tokyo Xtreme Racer home console title appeared way back in 2006 with Import Tuner Challenge.
This will soon change, however, with developer/publisher Genki set to reboot the series for PC in January 2025, with a whole host of JDM icons available to race across Tokyo’s expressway.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer is set to release in Early Access on 23rd January. The first Early Access release features 48 cars from Japanese manufacturers including Daihatsu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota, with more to be added in the final release.
Starter cars
When you start the game, you have a limited budget and must choose one of three starter cars: the Mazda Roadster RS (2015), Suzuki Swift Sport and Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex. Credits earned in SP Battle races can be used to buy new cars from dealerships or upgrade cars you already own.

How to unlock cars in Tokyo Xtreme Racer’s dealerships
Bonus cars can be unlocked by beating rivals. Listed under the ‘Custom’ category, these are tuned versions of existing models with custom liveries with names such as ‘Rolling Guy No.1,’ ‘Devil Road Run!’ and ‘Jackknife.’
More cars can be unlocked by acquiring perk points (BP) through racing. Once you have acquired enough BP, they can be spent to unlock specific models in the skill tree system. These models will then appear in the dealership available to purchase.

Below, you’ll find a complete list of every car in Tokyo Xtreme Racer so far and how many credits (CP) they cost.
