Genki has announced in a video teaser that Lexus is coming to Tokyo Xtreme Racer, with the RC F set to join the car roster in a future update. Lexus joins other Japanese manufacturers currently represented in the Tokyo Xtreme Racer reboot, including Mazda, Subaru and Toyota.
Powered by a 5.0-litre V8, the RC F is Lexus’s flagship sports coupe. Production of the current-generation XC10 model, which first went on sale in 2014, is due to end this November.
Specifically, the first confirmed Lexus shown at the end of the video is the Track Edition variant (also known as the Performance Package) of the RC F, which boasts sportier styling, stiffer suspension and a fixed carbon fibre wing among other weight-saving enhancements.
Under the bonnet, the Track Edition shares its standard sibling’s 5.0-litre V8, producing 457 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup enables the RC F to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds with launch control and onto a top speed of 168 mph.
Genki has yet to announce when the Lexus RC F Track Edition will be added to Tokyo Xtreme Racer’s car list. Lexus has previously featured in the series, with models like the GS 300 and LS 430 appearing in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3.
