The 2026 SimRacing Expo will have a new home – the Frankfurt Messe.
In Dortmund since 2023, the event has been growing in popularity, with increasing numbers of exhibitors and visitors each subsequent year. This year’s edition, held last weekend, was the most popular yet, with every exhibitor spot filled and on Saturday, sold out visitor tickets.
It witnessed over 30 sim racing equipment debuts, from brands such as Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Simucube, BDH and GT Omega, among others.
The event was also an opportunity to test the latest versions of unreleased games like Rennsport and Project Motor Racing, plus the world premieres of Assetto Corsa EVO 0.4 and Assetto Corsa Rally.
“A big thank you goes out to the community and to all exhibitors for helping us build up this amazing show,” said Michael Wamser, Director of Business Development at the event’s organisers, South West Vision.
“We have broken every record we have had over the last years. I’m very proud of the team for the organisation and for the amazing flow of the show.
“We have to thank Dortmund. It’s been an amazing place to be; they helped us to lift the SimRacing Expo to the next level, so thanks a lot, guys, it was really a pleasure.”
The move to Frankfurt provides the show with more space for visitors and exhibitors, with Hall 12 offering 11,000m² and the option to expand to up to 16,000m² if needed.
The largest city in the state of Hesse will also offer improved transportation connections, especially since a high percentage of attendees are expected to be from outside Germany.
There is also a plan to offer some form of local public transport ticket included with each Expo entry, which could be useful for travelling between the event and nearby hotels.
For exhibitors, there should be easier access for large trucks and a dedicated logistics centre to assist.
“We’re working hard behind the scenes to level up again with the next show, so be prepared, Danny Guisa [Head of Communication] and the team will have some really cool announcements over the next months,” concluded Wamser.
