Supercars Eseries returns, starts on 15th September

The virtual counterpart to the Repco Supercars Championship will be returning after a triumphant debut during a pandemic-hit 2020 season.

Starting on 15th September, the Cash Converters Supercars Eseries will begin and with it an all-new format for the leading Australian touring car championship.

Last season witnessed most of the full-time Supercars driver roster taking part in an esports series, joined by high-profile racing drivers for selected rounds such as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Current runaway Supercars championship leader Shane van Gisbergen won the virtual championship last year.

This time around, there will be two championships. All Stars, with a grid filled with current Supercars and Dunlop Super2 drivers, and the Pro Series, utilising esports professionals aiming for a top prize of over $20,000 AUD.

On the iRacing platform, each event will take place fortnightly, with the final round on 24th November. Grid line-ups and the tracklist are yet to be revealed.

The series will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo and 7Plus for Australian viewers, plus globally on the Supercars’ Twitch, Facebook and YouTube channels. We’ll be watching and looking forward to a rejuvenated esports championship.
