Super Woden Rally Edge will be hitting console devices later this year, its solo developer has confirmed to Traxion.
Currently only available for PC players, the enjoyable spin-off has set a new record for franchise player numbers.
Later this year, we now know it will be ported for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
“Yes, it’s confirmed,” said creator ViJuDa to Traxion.
“I’ve reached an agreement with an external company to port and publish the game on consoles, just like I did with the [Super Woden] GP games.
“We hope to be able to launch during this summer.
“The ports are still in a very early stage to guarantee definitive results, but I’ve made sure the team in charge is made up of top professionals.”
For now, it’s just the current generation console devices, although the PlayStation 4 and original Nintendo Switch may receive versions if they can perform well enough.
“For the previous generation, performance tests would need to be done to ensure 60fps,” explains ViJuDa to Traxion.
“I don’t think that will be a problem; I’m sure it will work! I mean [for] PS4 and NS1.
“But only if the game is a 1:1 port of the original version and maintains 60fps.”
Steam Deck Verification
Released for PC via Steam last month, the driving game is a spin-off for the Super Woden series, focused purely on rallying.
During our testing, it worked flawlessly on Valve’s portable device, the Steam Deck. However, it did not carry the ‘Verified’ moniker like its series counterparts.
However, as of 31st January 2026, the game now carries the Steam Deck Verified approval.
“It’s even staggering to think that this tightly packaged bundle of joy has been created by one person,” we said in our 9/10 review.
