Fanatec slashes direct drive wheelbase prices 

• Fanatec reduces prices of its range of direct drive wheelbases
• Fanatec ClubSport DD and DD+ reduced to €599,95 / $699.99 and €799,95 / $899.99, respectively
• Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base (8 Nm) reduced to €499,95 / $599.99

Following the release of its new flagship Podium DD wheelbase, Fanatec has decided to lower the prices of its other direct-drive products.

Effective now, the Landshut-based manufacturer cites ‘technical and operational advancements’ for the pricing structure change, suggesting that its 2024 takeover by U.S. hardware giant Corsair has led to increased efficiency in both delivery and production.

Fanatec’s direct drive offerings stretch from 5 Nm to 25 Nm of torque, with its 12 Nm ClubSport DD and 15 Nm DD+ each seeing a huge €200 price reduction (the DD is reduced to €599,95 / £699.99 from €799,95 / £999.99, while the DD+ drops from €999,95 / $1,179.99  to €799,95 / $899.99).

The 8 Nm Gran Turismo-branded DD Pro Wheel Base, which is compatible with PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, receives a permanent €100 discount (€499,95 / $599.99 from €599,95 / $739.99), while the similar CSL DD, which is only PC compatible and Xbox-ready, sees a modest decrease of €20; €449.95 / $549.99 down to €429,95 / $479.99.
