It’s hard to believe, but next month marks the tenth anniversary of Rocket League. A sequel to the PlayStation 3’s overlooked Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Psyonix’s popular car football game began as a free PlayStation Network download in July 2024.
It was an instant overnight sensation and has since spawned a popular esports tournament and crossovers with popular franchises from Star Wars to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Ten years later, Rocket League’s live service updates are still rolling in, with Season 19 kicking off tomorrow (18th June). One of the highlights is a commemorative tenth anniversary version of the original DFH Stadium, complete with custom decorations commemorating the anniversary.

Unusually, Season 19 will roll out in three stages. Starting tomorrow, the first part will introduce a new adidas FC Clash limited-time event featuring two new game modes.
Taking place in grass arenas like Mannfield and Estadio Vida, the 3v3 adidas Soccar Strike LTM alters the ball physics, making it easier to dribble with your car’s nose and add more curve and spin to shots. The ball is also closer to the pitch for a more “grounded experience” akin to real football.
Meanwhile, Possession Rumble sees you working with your team to maintain possession as long as possible, earning points for every two seconds your team controls the ball. New rock-paper-scissors style powerups in this mode will make for some chaotic matches.

Launching on 16th July, the second part of Season 19 will introduce another limited time event. SunlessKhan’s Demolition Duel sees player cars detonate when hitting the ball. Players can also unlock a new car in the next Summer Road Trip event later in July.
Finally, part three will start on 21st August. Among the highlights of the final part are Pentathlon Tournaments featuring five different modes, along with new Echo Chase and Champions Road LTEs and a Jump Jam LTM.
Additionally, Clubs are being revamped, allowing players to track their career stats and earn medals for playing matches, scoring goals, making saves, and providing assists.

Finally, Season 19 brings a new Rocket Pass featuring popular items from Rocket League’s history, with over 70 tiers across the free and premium passes. These include the original Xentari, unlocked when purchasing Season 19’s Rocket Pass Premium, and Breakout X, unlocked later in the Rocket Pass, car bodies.
Other Rocket Pass Premium include new Player Anthems from Hollywood Principle. Players can also claim free rewards when logging in during each part of Season 19:
- 18th June – 17 September – Nice Shot! Goal Explosion.
- 7th July – September 17: Cristiano (Gold) Wheels
- 16th July – 17th September: Gold Crush Boost
- 21st August – 17th September: Anniversary Formal Octane Decal
