- Forza Horizon 6 confirmed to feature in Xbox’s Developer_Direct stream on 22nd January

Forza Horizon 6 was officially announced last September at the Tokyo Games Show, confirming that the next instalment will be set in one of the most requested locations: Japan. No new details or gameplay footage have been shown since the initial announcement trailer, but that’s set to change later this month.
Forza Horizon 6 is confirmed to be one of three games featured in Xbox’s Developer_Direct show on 22nd January, alongside Fable, which Playground Games is also helming, and Beast of Reincarnation. That’s just two weeks from now.

During the stream, Playground Games will provide a “deep dive” into the open-world racer with a first look at gameplay footage and “reveals of new features” showing “how Japan comes to life.”
A teaser image for Developer Direct previe
ws the location, showing a twisty road lined with blossom trees and Mount Fuji prominently in the background. Tokyo is also a confirmed location.
Hopefully, we’ll also find out the release date. The first new entry in over five years, Forza Horizon 6 currently has a 2026 release window for PC and Xbox Series X|S, with a PlayStation 5 release set to follow at a later date.
Xbox’s Developer_Direct will stream on 22nd January at 6pm GMT / 10am PST / 1PM EST.
