A fifth track will be used in the ESL R1 esports competition, which in turn utilises the nascent Rennsport platform.

Following a social media teaser earlier today, 30th October 2023, this is set to be Road Atlanta.

“For the first time, we are going racing outside of Europe, any guesses as to which track,” shared the organisation, accompanied by the following image with some clues.

The Georgian circuit has 12 turns, is the same length and has a race lap record of 1:07.056 set by Austrian Christian Klien set in the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1 car in 2008.

It’s known for a sweeping downhill opening sector that provides a stern test. Out the back, it’s also where the Porsche 911 GT1 of Yannick Dalmas flipped during a race in 1998. A popular addition to the likes of iRacing and Gran Turismo 7, this venue is a favourite of the Traxion.GG team.

No images or footage has been provided for the venue within Rennsport, nor the date for the debut. Back in August, we reported that the later races in the current season were missing tracks on the schedule. Now, we know this is because new venues were in active development.

The seventh round is scheduled for 3rd November, the eighth for the 9th and the in-person finale across 24th-25th November in Sweden.
