The well-funded event in Saudi Arabia will return next year, and Rennsport will once again represent sim racing.

Competitive virtual racing will be represented at the Esports World Cup by Rennsport for a second year in a row next year – or third, if you include the EWC’s progenitor, Gamers8.

Last season, a staggering prize pool of $500,000 was up for grabs at the Saudi Arabian event, where Team Redline dominated. It took the ESL R1 teams’s prize and the drivers’ crown with Kevin Siggy.

The use of the Rennsport platform is intriguing, as the platform appears to be far from complete, recently entering an Early Access form on PC.

The EWC will be held between 3rd July and 25th August 2025, with the specific dates for the Rennsport element (and prize pools) to be announced next year. The announcement is without ESL R1 branding.

Other games present at the event include Call of Duty Black Ops 6, DOTA 2 and Apex Legends.
