- Previously teased car content and new features all now have a confirmed release date
- Four cars as DLC, two major (graphics and multiplayer) features land on 24th September
Some of the elements have been known now for some time, but free-to-enter sim racing title RaceRoom has confirmed what to expect in its next update.
The key paid-for DLC cars have been discussed previously, with confirmation that three LMDh ‘hypercars’ will be made available on 24th September 2025: BMW M Hybrid V8, Lamborghini SC63 and Porsche 963.
Critically, the hybrid systems have been modelled accurately, according to developer KW Studios, including the Virtual Energy system that many sim racing games fail to implement.

They will be joined by the Renault Laguna touring car, which was traced recently. This BTCC legend now has a confirmed release date, if not in-game images or gameplay – yet.
Pricing for the four new cars is not yet confirmed, but more information will be unveiled during a ‘GridTalk’ YouTube episode on 23rd September.
Significant quality of life changes
A graphics overhaul, for the now 12-year-old platform, was first teased in June, which followed a lighting upgrade a year ago.
This more significant change, which Traxion understands is the result of significant RendR graphics engine upgrades, is now complete and ready to launch on the same day as the aforementioned new cars.
Still images published by RaceRoom showcase more realistic reflections and more colourful skies, projecting sunlight onto the venue. This is thanks to the implementation of physically based rendering (PBR).

Of note, the title still omits dynamic weather or the ability to race at night, but this fundamental upgrade could lead to the creation of these elements – we’ll have to wait and see.
At the same time, the platform will launch a new ranked multiplayer system – on the surface, similar to that seen in Le Mans Ultimate.
In theory, this will help sort special event or esports championship entries without the need to manually input drivers or run leaderboard time trials. Splits should be dictated by platform ratings, similar to iRacing. However, we await further details closer to its launch next week.
