Project Motor Racing’s latest update promises change, but console players miss out
Due to widespread reports of poor fps performance, PS5 and Xbox players have been rolled back an update temporarily, while those on PC have received 1.5.0.5.
Another glut of fixes, changes and tweaks for Project Motor Racing is now available, for some, with its first update of 2026.
Version 1.5.0.5 has been released for all three platforms, although following frame rate issues on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, console players have been rolled back to 1.5.0.4.
“A new update will be released as soon as we’ve confirmed the potential issue and fixes,” said the developer statement.
For those on PC, and to see what console players have in store, this new update claims to increase the accuracy and smoothness of the on-screen radar system, a feature added post-launch.
There are also notable changes to the punitive penalty system, which now requires all four wheels to be off track before triggering.
Collisions have also received attention, with revised audio (it was a rather odd ‘clunk’ previously) and the promise of “improved collision behaviour between player and AI cars.”
The full changelog is listed below, including career length and stability differences.
