Project Motor Racing will release later this year as a new entry in the sim racing genre on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

While the exact release date is unknown, there’s a vague ‘fall’ window, we now know the price.

Pre-orders are now live on the game’s website for the PC edition as a direct download for $89.99, which includes a ‘Year 1 Pass’. There’s a standard edition for $59.99, minus the DLC.

The existence of the season pass confirms that the first batch of post-release DLC is expected to include four ‘packs’ and one ‘expansion’. Contents are not yet clarified.

Compared to something like EA SPORTS F1 25, another driving game releasing this year, the $89.99 edition prices it at the same level for the ‘Iconic Edition’, which includes digital items, but no notable cars and tracks.

Both editions are pitched above early access titles such as Le Mans Ultimate and Assetto Corsa EVO, but their prices are set to rise for a ‘version 1.0’ release and exclude any DLC.

This direct download offering for PC is a similar model to the publisher’s – GIANTS Software – approach to its Farming Simulator 25 title. You can also purchase that game from Steam, and we expect the same for Project Motor Racing, although at the time of writing, Steam pre-orders are not yet live.

The same is true for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S editions, although we do expect pre-orders to be available once an exact release date is locked in.

The pre-order page also reveals that the Lamborghini LMDh driving around the Nürburgring Nordschleife is the console box art. Publisher GIANTS even has its own console disc distribution network, which will be utilised for this new driving title.

Finally, those who pre-order will receive seven GTE-spec cars as part of a ‘GTE DECADE PACK’. The first car to be included in this set is the Aston Martin Vantage from 2018.
