Formerly known as GTRevival, Project Motor Racing, a new sim racing game from the reformed team behind the Project CARS and GTR series, has been given an autumn release window in a new trailer.
Unlike almost every racing game released in 2025 so far, like Assetto Corsa EVO, it will be a full release rather than a work-in-progress early access build.
Described as a “motorsport-first simulation,” Project Motor Racing will feature over 70 vehicles across ten racing classes and 27 track layouts when it launches on PC and consoles later this year.
Each class is said to be “curated to ensure definitive grids of motor racing heroes from today and yesterday,” with vehicles ranging from modern LMDh hypercars and GT3s to classic GTs like the Morgan Aero 8 GT and TVR T400R. Other confirmed manufacturers include Audi, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.
A full car list has yet to be revealed, but a trailer narrated by none other than Le Mans racing legend Derek Bell showcases an Audi R8 LMP900, Lola T70 MK3B GT and Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 being put through their paces.
The exact number of tracks is yet to be confirmed, but all 27 layouts are laser-scanned with dynamic weather conditions, adaptive racing and drying line and a 24-hour day/night cycle thanks to Straight4 Studios’ ‘True2Track’ technology.
Confirmed locations include Lime Rock Park, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Kyalami, with the Nurburgring Nordschleife shown for the first time in the trailer.

When it was known as GTRevival, the new racing simulation was set to use Unreal Engine 5 before switching to GIANTS Software’s proprietary GIANTS engine – the same engine that powers the Farming Simulator games.
Built from scratch, a new ‘Hadron’ physics engine will deliver “unmatched handling realism” at 720Hz with “more natural, non-linear throttle control” and a tyre tread simulation running at up to 10,000Hz.
“This is not about driving. It’s about racing,” said Ian Bell, CEO at Straight4 Studios. “With our streamlined approach and what we consider to be the most authentic handling model we’ve ever created, Project Motor Racing is both a nod to our genre’s rich legacy and a big step into the next era of simulation.”

Project Motor Racing pre-orders now live
Project Motor Racing will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this autumn, with a simultaneous PC and console launch. Pre-orders are now live for PC via the official Project Motor Cars website and Steam for £49.99 / $59.99, with the standard edition including a GTE Decade Pack featuring “seven cars from GT racing history.”
A Year 1 Bundle is also available to pre-order for £74.99 / $89.99 and includes a season pass with four DLC packs.
With Rennsport also set for to arrive on PlayStation and Xbox later this year and Assetto Corsa EVO being ported to consoles after the PC early access period ends, the console sim racing space is about to get more competitive.
