On Friday (21st April), the Forza Monthly stream gave Forza Horizon 5 players some idea of what’s to come in the upcoming May Festival titled “High Performance“. That all starts up next week (27th April) and will traverse the majority of the Month of May.

What is expected for the 21st Festival Update which will start at the end of May (25th May) and continue through June is something that will be called “Explore the Horizon”. On the Coming Soon tab of the festival that players will see when High Performance begins, it says “Overlanding Modifications”.

Ok, what exactly does THAT mean?

“Overlanding is basically camping with your car,” said Chris Phillips, Vehicle Director on the recent Forza Monthly stream.

“Think ‘roof tents’, think all the kind of things that you want to take you into the wilderness with your car.”

So, if I could put my speculative hat on for just a moment… We just had the Rally Adventure expansion, and with that, some new modifications for additional, and optional, rally-style parts such as bumper bars and light pods for a select list of vehicles.

We’d have to assume that this is going to be a similar type of addition, right? Probably just for off-road type vehicles, so sorry, there probably won’t be a tent add-on for your new Lamborghini Huracan STO. We would also think that there will be some overlanding-themed off-road cars to match the topic as well.

Something to keep our eyes out for., let us know your guesses in the comments below.

The ‘Explore the Horizon’ Festival is expected to start on 25th May. For now, though, we still have less than a week left of the Midnights at Horizon Festival before it shifts gears to High Performance on 27th April.
