NASCAR 25 has just received its first update of the year, and the headline improvements are mainly road course-based.
Although the game has never lacked circuits (28 in total), developer Monster Games has now added Portland International Raceway to the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions.
There is a catch, however: the new track is playable only in Quick Race and Online modes with the Xfinity and ARCA cars. Still, the Oregon venue’s sweeping bends and long straights should offer plenty of multiplayer passing opportunities.

Sonoma Raceway has also been given a spruce-up to reflect its updated appearance in sister sim iRacing, with the Californian track now featuring sharper textures and a more up-to-date laser-scan.
Although the debut of Portland helps fill up the game’s Xfinity and ARCA schedules, many fans still crave the appearance of Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, which hosted Round 16 of the championship last year.
It’s already in iRacing, so there’s hope it can make the transition to NASCAR 25 soon, although this has yet to be confirmed. Likewise, the publisher’s plans for the NASCAR licence in 2026 remain under wraps, with many patrons hoping for a 2026 DLC rather than a full, standalone release.

Other changes
The January update also adds additional numbers to the game’s Paint Kit, so players can now choose from 01-99 on their car, with the ability to share shapes coming in a future update.
Bump drafting has also been tweaked to improve the realism of multiplayer races, with a range of other undisclosed bug fixes and optimisations also delivered.
