First previewed at the Gamescom event in Germany earlier this year, the FIM Motocross World Championship’s new game is nearing launch.
MXGP 24: The Official Game will be released on 28th November 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The final date comes after publisher Nacon published the first gameplay footage in the form of a pre-order trailer.
The presentation is quite basic, with one bike ridden around the muddy Swiss Frauenfeld venue. After the race start, the on-track rivals are left behind. It’s hard to judge AI or track deformation performance at this stage.
MXGP 24 will feature a career mode, working your way through MX2 and MXGP categories, with a player hub in between each championship round. There is also set to be a 4 km² free-roam area, with collectables and challenges.
Online multiplayer is in a limited form of daily events – so no custom lobby creator or browser.
Developed by KT Racing, it marks the French team’s first motocross game, and the first MXGP title released in three years.
It includes the locations, riders and liveries from this season’s real-world competition.
