The governing bodies of world and British motorsport – the FIA and Motorsport UK respectively – have joined forces to offer new iRacing customers an excellent sim racing deal.
The FIA has distributed a limited number of iRacing codes to Motorsport UK, allowing 12 months of free access to the service. As a bonus, the offer also includes the FIA F4 single-seater – a deal worth over £100 and an ideal starting point for rookie virtual racers.
To redeem the offer, potential iRacers must be a paid-up Motorsport UK Esports member – costing £24.99 for 12 months – which also includes access to Motorsport UK-sanctioned esports events as well as discounts and offers from its commercial partners; including sim racing clothing manufacturers like IMB Racewear and set-up shops such as Coach Dave Academy.
Motorsport UK GT Challenge
Motorsport UK Esports membership will also grant players access to the organisation’s upcoming iRacing-based GT Challenge championship hosted by The SimGrid, set to begin on the 3rd of September.
The three-round series takes in trips to Donington Park, Silverstone and Snetterton and features two-hour multi-class races using iRacing’s roster of GT3 and GT4 cars. Entries are open now, with driver swaps on the agenda for two-driver lineups.
Motorsport UK also plans to offer more community events in future for its esports members, using the FIA F4 to complement its official British F4 Esports series, plus its feeder championship, the UK FF1600 Esports Cup.
The FIA has collaborated with all its member nations to provide the iRacing offer, but UK participants will need to apply via Motorsport UK. Visit your nation’s governing body website for more information.
