First seen in one of the very early Assetto Corsa EVO teaser trailers, the current-specification BMW M2 will finally be added in a ‘0.5’ game update.
With a turbocharged straight-six engine upfront, that sends power to the rear, this pugnacious coupe is the entry-level M car for the German manufacturer’s current range.
It’s actually based on a cut-down 3-Series chassis, so don’t confuse it with the 1 Series hatchback or the 2 Series saloon – this is a dedicated driver’s car.

The two-door has been previously spotted with M Performance parts, too, and these have been confirmed for this update, too. As depicted in a preview image, this includes a rear wing, alternative side skirts, and tweaked front wings.
The version shown in these images, shared by Assetto Corsa social media channels, is the manual. In the real world, an automatic with paddle shifters is also available.

The release date for the 0.5 update is not yet known, although it appears to be imminent due to the kick-off for the teaser campaign. The Toyota AE86 was confirmed on 17th January 2026.
