The developer of chaotic motorcycle-based combat racer Road Redemption, Pixel Dash Studios, has announced it is available to pre-order for Android and iOS mobile devices.
Already boasting releases for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, Road Redemption is set to arrive soon on mobile devices – titled Road Redemption Mobile – with the game’s early stages available to play for free.
Much like the original Road Redemption, mobile gamers can look forward to the game’s usual brand of two-wheeled combat as opponents launch attacks using a host of weapons, kicks and punches.
Anyone hankering for retro-inspired Road Rash thrills will be instantly familiar with the game mechanics of Road Redemption Mobile, with simplistic combat and racing combining to form a fun package. The title, therefore, seems like an idea fit for short gaming sessions, ideal considering the original’s limited lifespan.
Pixel Dash Studios has confirmed the mobile version will feature a single-player campaign mode with upgradeable skill trees for player characters, weapons and bikes.
With its proposed touchscreen controls it remains to be seen whether Road Redemption Mobile will retain the fun factor of its console version – or indeed all its content – however, the game is free to sample for those sitting on the fence. We hope it will pleasantly surprise us in the same vein as Wreckfest’s mobile port…
Road Redemption Mobile is available to pre-order on the Apple App Store and Google Play, with a release date still to be announced.
