Assetto Corsa EVO’s Steam Early Access release is less than a week away and developer Kunos Simulazioni has already revealed the identities of eight of the 20 cars set to ship with the game on the 16th of January.

Today (10th January 2025), the Italian developer has announced another four cars to join the likes of the Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Mazda MX5 ND Cup and Ferrari 296 GTB. These are:

  • Hyundai i30 N Hatchback
  • Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO
  • BMW M4 CSL
  • Alpine A110 S

Hyundai i30 N Hatchback

Hyundai has emerged as a producer of fine hot hatches in recent years, with its most recent i30 N perhaps the pick of the bunch.

In its Hatchback guise here (a Fastback version with coupe-like styling is also available), the i30 N has 280 bhp and the choice of manual or dual-clutch transmissions, something AC EVO may let us compare back-to-back in future.

Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO

Already a mainstay in Assetto Corsa Competizione, the Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO was the Ferrari Challenge Series’ main protagonist between 2020 and 2024, before being usurped by the new 296 Challenge.

With a rather flat-sounding turbocharged V8 engine, the Ferrari was difficult to love, but its sheer performance should make it a favourite in AC EVO thanks to its 670 bhp output.

BMW M4 CSL

Every new car spotted in Assetto Corsa EVO’s open-world unveil

Already seen in many of AC EVO’s open-world preview videos, the BMW M4 CSL is the more focused version of the Bavarian manufacturer’s M4 Competition coupe.

With 0-60 mph arriving in just 3.7s, the CSL has supercar levels of performance, producing 550 bhp from its three-litre straight-six powerplant. And its supercar performance is matched by its supercar price: the M4 CSL retails from £128,820 in the UK.

Alpine A110 S

We sampled Alpine’s gloriously lightweight A110 S sportscar at SimRacing Expo, where we took it through its paces around Bathurst’s Mount Panorama circuit in wet conditions.

Innately poised on the road, the Alpine A110 S produces 50 bhp more than the standard A110 while retaining a kerb weight of just over 1,100 Kg, making it an absolute back road weapon.
