Fashion house Balmain has announced a collaboration with EA’s new Need For Speed Unbound title, bringing branded Balmain clothing and a specially wrapped livery to the game.

The Paris-based clothing brand has digitally crafted Balmain-themed jeans, a jacket and a pair of its bestselling B-IT sliders for the game, which are also available to purchase in the real world as part of a limited run of 100 examples.

One of the characters you will meet during gameplay, Eléonore is set to appear in-game wearing one of Balmain’s Fall 2022 dresses while also driving an exclusive Balmain-wrapped Lotus Evora.

It’s not the first occasion a racing game has collaborated with a fashion house in recent times, as Gran Turismo 7 teamed up with Dior to bring a branded racing suit, helmet and gloves to Polyphony Digital’s title, replete with a fully liveried DeTomaso Mangusta

Indeed, Need For Speed Unbound has already revealed a host of clothing brands set to appear in-game, including Versace, Puma and Palace, suggesting avatar customisation will play a big part in gameplay.

Need for Speed Unbound and Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition will be available on the 2nd of December for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the EA app, Origin, Steam and Epic Game Store for $69.99/£69.99 and $79.99/£79.99 respectively.
