Logitech announced the release of its new G Racing Adapter yesterday (14th February 2023). The new product is designed to enable backwards and forwards compatibility between Logitech’s G29, G920, G923 and PRO Racing Wheels and its PRO Racing Pedals.

The G Racing Adapter will also allow Driving Force Shifter compatibility with the PRO Series Racing series of products.

The Adapter enables Logitech peripheral owners to mix and match different generations of Logitech products. That means consumers can start out with entry-level products like the G29 wheel and gradually upgrade over time.

For example, players can swap the potentiometer-based G29 pedals for loadcell PRO Racing Pedals. Then they can upgrade to the flagship PRO Racing Wheel without losing compatibility on their sim racing journey.

The new product is compatible with PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 and features four ports: USB input and output ports; a nine-pin shifter input for older wheels and a nine-pin pedal input for older pedals.

The six-speed Logitech G Driving Force Shifter can also be added to the ensemble, complimenting the paddle shifters found on all Logitech wheels.

Weighing in at 158g, the G Racing Adapter employs Logitech’s proprietary G HUB Software to allow future firmware updates. An onboard dial also allows users to tune the sensitivity of their loadcell-equipped Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals on-the-fly.

The Logitech G Racing Adapter retails for $39.99/€44.99/£39.99 and is available to purchase now from Logitech’s website.
