Sim racers will be able to acquire points by competing in Simracing.GP events, with a tally counting towards potential rewards.
Simracing.GP has today (5th June) launched a new points system. Set aside from any ranking system that evaluates driver performance, this new addition seems more akin to a loyalty programme.
Firstly, drivers will earn 10 points for participating in and finishing any race hosted on one of the platform’s servers. Further points are rewarding for winning a race (five), and for creators, each time (one) a car set-up is downloaded.
The sim racing league, community and esports-event-creation platform has nearly 80,000 registered users. Points earned will be displayed on driver profiles, alongside an overall user leaderboard.
These are set to be redeemable at a later date, with details expected later this week about the first initiative.
“We are thrilled to introduce SGP Points to our community,” said Tomas Vaiciunas, Managing Director of Simracing.GP.
“This feature is designed to enhance the user experience and foster a more engaging and competitive environment for all our drivers.”
