iRacing will soon be playable on Apple’s Vision Pro headset, with support set to be added “later this spring.”
According to iRacing, the headset’s foveated streaming will “render the sharpest content in the driver’s direct line of sight,” delivering “a uniquely immersive sim racing experience” by “seamlessly blending your racing rig with the virtual cockpit.” When using the headset, iRacing players will see their physical hands on the wheel in a mixed reality experience.
To achieve this, iRacing has integrated Nvidia’s CloudXR streaming technology. This enables physics calculations and high-fidelity graphics to be rendered on a PC equipped with NVIDIA’s RTX GPU. Frames are then encoded and shared wirelessly to iRacing Connect on visinoOS via Wi-Fi.

“We’re thrilled to have worked with Apple and NVIDIA to bring iRacing to Apple Vision Pro,” said iRacing president Tony Gardner. “With the ultra-high-resolution capabilities of Apple Vision Pro and the power of NVIDIA’s RTX GPU, this new spatial experience puts our users in the driver’s seat with a level of immersion and fidelity never before seen in sim racing.”
Described by Apple as a “revolutionary spatial computer,” the Vision Pro is a mixed-reality headset that blends digital content into physical spaces, streamed to a PC via CloudXR. As such, it carries a hefty price compared to virtual reality headsets, starting at £3,199 / £266.58 per month in the UK.
