Complete iRacing car list

Alongside their massive list of different tracks around the world, iRacing also has an extensive list of racing vehicles to compete in. For their four different license classifications, those are broken down even further.

Oval drivers don’t just have to race NASCAR, they can partake in Late Models or even Open Wheel events. Road racers aren’t stuck with Open Wheels, they can get in a GT car, or a TCR, or many of the other different series included. Dirt fans as well, if you like Sprint Cars or Modifieds, or if you’re into Midgets, iRacing has many flavors.

As it is with the Tracks, 20 vehicles listed below come with basic membership. The rest will range from $2.95 up to $11.95 depending on the product. Check out our full list of cars that you can participate in on iRacing, and check back as this list will be updated with each new content drop.

OVAL RACING – NASCAR

eNASCAR Coca-Cola: Matt Bussa saves enough gas to win Coca-Cola 150

One of the most represented series on the iRacing service is NASCAR. With the top three National Touring Series included, an older ARCA-styled machine and official NASCAR modifieds, building up a virtual NASCAR racing career is inclusive in this simulation.

Not only do they have the current-day cars, but they also have the older cars and some classics from 1987, before there was power steering. The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series currently utilizes the top level cars of the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR NEXT Gen. Here’s all the current NASCAR content:

OVAL RACING BESIDES NASCAR

There are other avenues to go oval racing on iRacing besides NASCAR. IndyCar is both a road and oval series, even in official racing. The step down from that, the Indy Pro cars have less power and are the oval side of the 2000 series open-wheel machines.

Besides that, there are other stock car series that aren’t NASCAR-affiliated. Vehicles such as Super Late Models, Street Stocks, Silver Crowns or even Legends cars can be seen making left turns for hours on end.

ROAD RACING – OPEN WHEEL

Hands on: First impressions of iRacing's Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance

When most people think open wheel racing, they think immediately of Formula 1. Through the years, iRacing has included some Formula 1 flavor to their menu of cars. The most recent modern marvel is the Mercedes-AMG W12 E, the car that was driven by Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas last season.

Of course, to get to Formula 1, there are a ton of lower level open-wheel machines to get into and try. The Formula Vee and iRacing’s newest creation in the Formula iR-04 are starter level cars. The Lotus 49 and 79 are classic Formula machines, while the Dallara iR-01 is a fantasy V10 that also works well on ovals.

ROAD RACING – GT CARS

Beginner's Guide to iRacing: Where to even start?

Of course, one of the most popular forms of racing comes in the various forms of GT racing. From the super streamlined GT1 machines down to the endurance-minded GTE vehicles, these Gran Touring vehicles encompass so many different racing series all over the world.

iRacing’s top level GT esport series is the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, which utilizes the latest release, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992). You’ll also find many of these cars in various multi-class events around the platform.

ROAD RACING BESIDES OPEN WHEEL OR GT

Hands on with iRacing: New and updated 2021 Season 4 content

There are a ton of different racing disciplines represented on the iRacing service. There is a small selection of prototypes available, the Dallara P217 LMP2 the most utilized of the bunch. Touring Cars are a new focus for some iRacers, as in recent months, the Honda and two Hyundai TCRs joined the previously existing Audi RS 3 LMS.

Australian Supercars are also included on the iRacing service with a ton of Australian venues alongside. Also a new addition to the service in 2022 Season 2 was the Brazilian Stock Cars. Basically, iRacing tries to include as many different professional racing series as they possibly can.

DIRT OVAL RACING

World of Outlaws console game announced from iRacing, Monster Games

The dirt side of the service is new, relatively in comparison to the asphalt side of iRacing. With that in mind, there isn’t as much content, but there is quite a lot still. Dirt oval cars are aplenty here, covering many different ranks among the World of Outlaws and DIRTcar.

The Chili Bowl and the Dirt Midget is something you’ll only find on iRacing. Also, if you’ve been following along with NASCAR, all of the NASCAR vehicles come equipped with dirt tires and can be used as dirt racing content as well.

DIRT ROAD RACING

iRX: Jonne Ollikainen closes in on championship lead with Sonoma victory

Perhaps the most underappreciated discipline on iRacing, dirt road cars only have two types of racing vehicles, either the Rallycross type cars of the Fiesta, WRX and Beetle, or the Trophy Truck style racers of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series.

However, any car can be a rally car if you put your mind to it. Ask NASCAR driver Ryan Vargas about “Jumpy Cars” if you get a chance. This is just what is specifically included for this type of racing.

LEGACY CONTENT YOU CAN STILL OWN

Content does get outdated over time, and those vehicles usually stop receiving further updates when they go “legacy” in iRacing terms.

A lot of NASCAR content can be found in the legacy ranks, as they continue to update all of their cars and have the most specified content. There’s still somewhat of a cult following around the original NASCAR Cup car that was included on the service back in 2009.

The old V8 Supercars are also legacy content, along with some old IndyCars and more.
