The UK FF1600 Esports Cup is back for 2025, featuring a range of Heusinkveld prizes for budding single-seater drivers.

Once again using iRacing’s Ray FF1600 open-wheeler, drivers are encouraged to enter the Motorsport UK-backed series, with a hot-lapping contest used to determine the 25-strong grid.

Beginning on the 18th of August 2025, prospective drivers can access the UK FF1600 Esports Cup prequalifying stage via iRacing’s Time Attack menu, tackling Oulton Park’s International layout (minus Britten’s chicane).

Drivers have a week to set their best lap times, with entries closing on the 24th of August at 11:59 PM BST.

Feeder series

The UK FF1600 Esports Cup has traditionally supported the British F4 Esports Championship in the past, a series that featured a plethora of professional sim racing teams in 2024, including the official Aston Martin, Williams and Ferrari Formula 1 esports outfits.

The UK FF1600 series is therefore seen as the perfect shop window for up-and-coming sim racing talent and a vital stepping stone in the development of tomorrow’s professional sim racers. Drivers with any affiliation to a British F4 Esports team will therefore not be allowed to participate.

In terms of prizes, Dutch sim racing hardware manufacturer Heusinkveld has partnered up again for 2025, offering equipment to the top three finishers in the championship, all of whom will also receive a trophy.

The top two in the standings will also be granted free entry to the British F4 Esports grid for 2026, with 2024 champion Mark Fletcher and runner-up Shoma Shintani expected to join the highly competitive F4 championship this season.

The full UK FF1600 season will be held over eight, double-header rounds, including a partial reverse grid second race, all of which will be broadcast live.

All drivers who make it through the pre-qualifying stage will be required to have a Motorsport UK Esports membership (£27.99 annually) and have paid the £70 entry fee.

More details and entry requirements can be found below, or on the Motorsport UK Esports website.
