  • PC version will cost $24.99 on Steam
  • Console versions to follow later next year, with additional cars and tracks

Originally set to release in just five days on 2nd December, iRacing Arcade has suffered a last-minute delay, with the Steam version pushed back until 2026. According to the announcement, the arcade spin-off is expected to arrive “within the next 90 days,” priced at $24.99. That means it should launch by late February 2026.

The extra development time will allow for “further playtesting and additional polish on gameplay and career mode,” iRacing says. After Project Motor Racing’s tumultuous launch this week, that’s probably a wise decision.

“We will be taking the extra time to ensure the experience meets the quality you expect from an iRacing Studios title,” said iRacing’s Executive Vice President, Steve Myers.

Why iRacing Arcade is delayed on consoles to 2026

“The feedback from the demo has been tremendous and we want to be sure we incorporate as much of what the players want into the full release. We are confident that the small delay will result in a much-improved gaming experience.”

“We are not ready to announce the updated release date just yet, but will share as soon as we are confident. The game is very close to being ready, so we fully expect to launch very soon.”

After the Steam release, iRacing Arcade will arrive “later in 2026” on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with additional cars and tracks, which will also be added to the Steam game. Licensed DLC packs are also planned, with more details expected in the “coming months,” along with split-screen multiplayer for the console versions.

Created in collaboration with Original Fire Games, best known for the charming top-down indie racer Circuit Superstars, iRacing Arcade is an approachable take on motorsport racing, featuring stylised visuals, diminutive cars ranging from the Fiat 500 to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and 14 tracks, including Imola, Tsukuba Lime Rock Park. Bahrain and Kyalami will feature for the first time in an iRacing Studios game.

Although tyre wear, fuel, and damage must be managed, the driving is less demanding than iRacing, making the arcade spin-off accessible for younger players.

A career mode sees players work their way up, earning money to buy faster cars, build research facilities and hire drivers.
