iRacing‘s Special Events are back again for 2026, leading the way for mass-participation community races.
Once again, over 30 of these gatherings will be held across dirt, asphalt, road and oval, with a diverse mix of cars and race formats.
As ever, tentpole team events are on the list, such as the Sebring 12-hour, Daytona 24-hour and Nürburgring 24-hour. The latter in that list has moved from June to May, and no longer uses the dedicated BMW M2 class.
Other date moves include the Suzuka 100km now in September, as opposed to November.
The Thurxton Special Event that debuted in 2025 returns this coming year, but the Martinsville MX-500 and Bristol Night Race are absent. Also missing are the brands ‘SCCA’ and ‘Coke’ from the SCCA Runoffs and Coca-Cola 600, respectively. These are now called the iRacing Runoffs and World 600 instead.

However, several new Special Events make the roster: The Southern 500 and the Homestead Championship for NASCAR fans, the SLF Mountain Showdown and the 6 Hours of Road America.
The first on this list, run at Darlington, is perhaps more befitting of the signature Cup Series races than last year’s aforementioned Bristol-based night event. The Homestead Championship, meanwhile, will replicate the real-world series’ last race of the 2026 season.
Having been run independently by Motorsport UK Esports in recent years, the Britcar 24 now makes its formal calendar debut.
The last notable change is the Indy 6 Hour, which is now longer with the creation of the 8 Hours of Indianapolis.
The new schedule was posted by iRacing’s Global Director of Operations, Greg West, to the iRacing member forums. The full list is below, with further details on each Special Event expected throughout the year.
