Invicta sports car wins 2025 Pebble Beach Award, added to the Gran Turismo 7 waiting list
Could it appear in Gran Turismo 7? Possibly, or whatever Polyphony Digital is working on next - either way, this 1931 Invicta 4½ Litre S Type has won the Gran Turismo award at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey.
The Gran Turismo Award is a prestigious honour, handed out during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
The luxury British sports car, an Invicta 4½ Litre S Type Carbodies Tourer from 1931, is the 2025 winner
It is the 17th victor, with eight in Gran Turismo 7 and nine not yet virtually recreated
An Invicta has won its class at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, and with it a Gran Turismo gong.
The sundrenched event held on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, the Gran Turismo Award is traditionally (but not always) handed out by the game’s Series Producer, Kazunori Yamauchi
As an Honourary Judge, Yamauchi was once again present at the gathering.

The British company only had a brief moment in history, with car production lasting 10 years in its first incarnation between 1925 and 1935. It had a stated goal of merging the luxury of Rolls-Royce and the performance of a Bentley.
The S Type model, with a 1931 4½ Litre S Type Carbodies Tourer, this specific award winner, was given the nickname ‘100mph’ in period, and that same year won the Monte Carlo Rally. The low-slung open-top model also set a lap record at Brooklands. Around 75 were thought to have been produced.
It becomes the 17th winner of the award, founded in 2008, which should mean it’s included in the virtual series at some point – but not guaranteed.
Some of the themes for the cars on display this year included 75 years of Formula 1, BMW art cars, the Shelby Cobra and special expedition cars by Land Rover.
