Indianapolis Motor Speedway coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione’s American Track Pack DLC

After teasing us with images of three American tracks set to be released for Assetto Corsa Competizione two weeks ago, last week (24th June) Kunos Simulazioni showcased Watkins Glen.

The hype continues today (27th June), as the Italian developer has released more screenshots and information pertaining to the second part of their American Track Pack DLC – Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Already featured in a number of notable racing sims, including RaceRoom, rFactor 2 and iRacing, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the home of the Indy 500 oval race – part of motorsport’s fabled ‘Triple Crown’ that includes the Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

ACC players presumably won’t be able to use the oval but will almost certainly gain access to the 2.439-mile International layout instead (an educated guess based on the real-world Intercontinental GT Challenge using the configuration in 2021 and 2022).

With the American Track Pack DLC being released on 30th June we expect a final track confirmation – the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) – in the next day or two.

Unfortunately, the American Track Pack DLC will only be available for the PC version of ACC for the moment. Next-gen console users need to wait for the port of the extensive v1.8 update before new DLC – like the Challengers Pack – can be released. The v1.8 console update is expected in September.

Are you looking forward to ACC’s new tracks? Are there any other tracks you’d love to see in ACC – how about some of those we’ve come up with on our own wishlist? Let us know in the comments below.
