Following a series of quality-of-life updates and free content – such as the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh – the first paid-for downloadable content for Le Mans Ultimate has been unveiled.
The Le Mans Ultimate Hypercar roster will expand with the availability of the Lamborghini SC63 and 2024-specification Peugeot 9X8.
It will mark the first appearance in a simulation for the green Sant’Agata machine – following a limited-time event in the mobile game CSR Racing 2.
The French car received a drastic update for the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, eschewing the ‘wingless’ philosophy used to date. The new car is said to be a thorough evolution, much more than ‘just’ an additional rear wing.
It has been known since June that the first set of DLC will include the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (or, Imola) circuit. The Motorsport Games team visited the Italian venue – making its debut on the real-world FIA WEC calendar this season – ahead of the April race to capture data.
The laser-scanned representation of the Emilia-Romagna plus the two news cars form the ‘Tifosi Italia’ DLC pack, which will be released on 23rd July for £9.99/€11.99/$12.99.
There will also be a 2024 DLC Season Pass for £39.99/€46.99/$49.99 available on the same date. This will include the aforementioned first set, plus the three remaining packs upon their release later this year.
Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos), Circuit of the Americas and Losail International Circuit are expected, alongside the previously teased Alpine A424 and Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6-C Hypercars.
Nine LMGT3 cars will also arrive towards the end of the year, two of which will be free (useful for online multiplayer) and seven as part of DLC packs.
“We are adding the Lamborghini SC63 and 2024 Peugeot 9X8 into the fray as well as Imola, as part of our first DLC pack,” said Stephen Hood, CEO of Motorsport Games, Studio 397.
“Development is well underway on the rest of the 2024 Season Pass Content as well as new gameplay features and quality of life updates which we hope to bring to the market in late September – just as the 2024 FIA WEC season reaches its exciting crescendo.”
