A new Forza Horizon 5 series is upon us at the start of June, celebrating the German Automotive Excellence within.

Series 8 starts out with the new summer season, and the cars you can unlock this week are the Porsche 959 1987 for 20 points and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS4 2012 for 40 points.

As for the series itself, you can unlock the Mercedes-AMG E63 2018 for 80 points, and the AutoUnion Type D 1939 for 160 points. 

Power Up

This seeries also contains a new Treasure Hunt Challenge named Power Up, with the clue: “It’s time to get electric in the clover zone!”.

This challenge can be completed by jumping into the German Electric car Porsche Taycan Turbo S 2020 that can be bought from the Autoshow for 185,000 CR and earning one or more stars in the Trebol Speed Zone.

This Speed Zone is located on the long highway and goes through the cloverleaf interchange to the south of the Horizon Street Scene Outpost.  

Upon completion, a confirmation will land on-screen, and an orange circle will appear to the south-east of the Horizon Festival Mexico Outpost. 

Head to the orange circle, and the chest can be found underneath an electricity pylon, inside a field of crops. Simply smash into the treasure chest, and the 100FP and three points are yours. 

PHOTO CHALLENGE #ONCOURSE 

This week’s photo challenge requires you to jump into the Volkswagen Golf R 2010, and head to the Club de Ópalo de Fuego. The club can be found within the southwestern area of the map along the coast.

Simply head to the club, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards. Upon completion, the Light Blue High Tops reward is yours.

You can wear these by visiting your home and selecting Customise Character in the My Festival tab. 

SERIES 8 WET SEASON #FORZATHON SHOP HIGHLIGHTS 

This week’s rewards available within Series 8’s Wet season are two cars, a hat, and a car horn, alongside the always available Wheelspins.

The Audi R8 isn’t available to buy from the Autoshow, so now would be the best time to grab this car. The available items from the Forzathon Shop this week are:

  • Sea of Thieves Theme Car Horn – 75 FP 
  • Formula Drift #98 BMW 325I 1989 – 200 FP 
  • 1x Super Wheelspin – 150 FP

Or more specifically, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG 2012, as you’re required to take a photo, earn nine stars at Speed Traps and finishing it off with banking 100,000 Skill Score with this beast.

BMW M8 Competition Coupe 2020, Forza Horizon 5

New for Car Pass subscribers this week is the BMW M8 Competition Coupe 2020. It’s like an M5, with two fewer doors, a bigger model number that commands a higher price and phat margins for the car manufacturer.
